High Sheriff of Rutland Geoff Thompson Officially Opens New Police Station Oakham Rutland.


The High Sheriff of Rutland Geoff Thompson, Officially Opens New Police Station here in Oakham, Rutland. 

 

Rob Nixon who was appointed as Chief Constable of Leicestershire Police in November 2022 spoke. 

Rupert Matthews, the Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland also spoke.

Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland, Dr Sarah Furness

Inspector Lindsey Madeley-Harland, NPA Commander for Rutland and Melton

Sergeant Paul Kear along with other police officers.

Cllrs Lucy Stephenson, Leader of Rutland County Council and Cllr Rosemary Powell Deputy Leader.

Cllr Sally-Anne Wadsworth Mayor of Oakham.

Nicole Welsh is returning to Oakham from Melton Mowbray to work on the enquiry desk. 

The police station is located behind the old station in Station Road Oakham Rutland and is open to the public Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm

Rutland is no longer the only county with out a police station.
