Nomination packs available for those wishing to stand for election here in Rutland The UK government has made legislation to reduce the number of subscribers that are required by each candidate for Principal Area elections taking place on or after 4 May 2023.

Those considering standing as a councillor in the elections on Thursday 4th May are reminded to request their nomination pack and complete the nomination papers before the deadline (4th April 2023)

Anyone considering becoming a councillor and standing in the upcoming elections on Thursday 4th May has just over a month to ensure they are officially nominated and complete nomination papers.

Nomination papers will need to be signed by two electors who are registered in the ward/parish where you wish to stand and these then need to be returned to our Elections team by 4th April 2023.

There is also still time to attend the final Candidate and Agents Briefing which runs from 3pm – 5pm on Monday 13th March at Rutland County Council, Catmose House, in the Council Chamber.
