Peterborough Pride 2023 was a day of celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community in the city. The event kicked off with a march from Stanley Park to The Green Backyard, where there was a festival with live music, food, and stalls.

A newly married couple who had just exchanged vows at the cathedral joined in the march, and their presence was met with cheers from the crowd. There were also a number of religious preachers who tried to disrupt the march, but they were drowned out by the marchers singing "If You're Happy and You Know It."
