Rutland Festival of Remembrance to take place at St George's Barracks on Friday 10th November 2023

The Rutland Festival of Remembrance will take place at St George's Barracks in North Luffenham on Friday 10th November 2023. The event will be hosted by the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, Dr Sarah Furness.

The Festival of Remembrance is a celebration of all who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces. It is a time to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and to honour those who continue to serve today.

The event will begin at 6.30pm with drinks and canapes. This will be followed by a concert featuring performances from Rutland's schools, the Military Wives' Choir, the Rutland Ladies Choir, and the Cadet Band.

The concert will be a mix of patriotic and traditional music, and will include readings and prayers. It will be a moving and poignant evening, and a fitting way to remember those who have served and fallen.

Tickets for the Festival of Remembrance are £25 and can be purchased from the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland's website. All proceeds from the event will go to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

The Festival of Remembrance is a popular event, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly. Anyone who is interested in attending is encouraged to book their tickets early.
