Former Leicestershire police officer to appear at accelerated gross misconduct hearing

A former Leicestershire Police Constable is due to appear at an accelerated gross misconduct hearing.

It is alleged that the former officer breached the standards of professional behaviour, namely honesty and integrity; duties and responsibilities; and discreditable conduct.

It is alleged that she was absent from work between 31 October 2022 and 12 December 2022 without reasonable excuse or appropriate authority and failed to request any form of leave during this time.

It is also alleged that the former officer was dishonest when asked for an explanation regarding her failure to attend work and her failure to fulfil her duties as a police officer.

The hearing will take place on Thursday 14 December at 1pm and can be viewed through Microsoft Teams.

If you wish to listen in to the hearing, please let us know here – Attend a misconduct hearing - test | Leicestershire Police (leics.police.uk). You must apply to observe no later than 8am on Wednesday 13th December 2023.

The Chief Constable has directed that the officer will maintain anonymity during this hearing and should not be named in any publication. This is in order to protect the welfare of those involved.
