Barleythorpe Blooms and Fights Climate Change!

Join your community in making a difference!

Are you passionate about protecting our planet, beautifying your village, and meeting like-minded people? Look no further than Barleythorpe's two fantastic volunteer groups: Barleythorpe Climate Change Action and Barleythorpe in Bloom!

Climate Change Action:

Fight climate change locally: Plant trees, protect existing ones, raise awareness, and contribute to the Woodland Trust's Big Climate Fightback campaign.

Create wildlife habitats, improve air quality, store carbon, and enhance Barleythorpe's landscape.

No experience needed: Just passion and commitment! Training and support provided.

Meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of the month at the Kings Centre.

Barleythorpe in Bloom:

Improve the village appearance and quality of life.

Plant flowers, maintain green spaces, and promote biodiversity.

No experience needed: Enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!

Meetings: 1st Wednesday of the month at the Kings Centre.

Fun social events: Picnics, quizzes, and garden visits.

Planting Trees in Linear Park:

Barleythorpe Climate Change Action plans to plant trees on 50% of Linear Park next to the playground. Residents' input is crucial!
