Rutland Police Make Arrests After Public Input on Crime Priorities
Rutland police are making progress on tackling crime concerns raised by the community in a recent survey. The team has expressed gratitude for the public's feedback and highlighted recent efforts.
A dedicated drug offence week focused manpower and resources on disrupting local drug supplies. PC Robinson reported, "Officers worked with specialists to target drug trafficking and criminal groups operating in Rutland."
This focus led to a dramatic stop where two individuals were arrested for failing to stop, possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply, involvement in supplying Class A drugs, and carrying an offensive weapon.
"The incident demonstrates our commitment to addressing community concerns," PC Robinson continued. "Our pursuit officers' training ensures they can effectively apprehend those who try to evade capture."
The investigation is ongoing, but these arrests show the police are taking action based on public input.
