Leicestershire Police Officer to Face Gross Misconduct Hearing

Leicestershire Police Constable Hiron Miah is scheduled to attend a gross misconduct hearing next month on Wednesday, May 1st, at 10 am at Force Headquarters.

PC Miah faces allegations of breaching the force's standards of professional behaviour in three areas: discreditable conduct, confidentiality, and honesty and integrity.

The specific accusations involve eight separate incidents between October and November 2022. It is alleged that PC Miah accessed confidential information on police systems without a legitimate policing purpose or lawful authority. This reportedly violated the force's information management procedures.

If proven, these allegations could be classified as gross misconduct, potentially leading to dismissal.

The hearing will determine the validity of the accusations and the appropriate consequences, if any.
