Ottolenghi at Bicester Village: A Delicious Encounter with a Few Hiccups

Ottolenghi at Bicester Village: A Delicious Encounter with a Few Hiccups

The famed Ottolenghi has finally arrived at Bicester Village, boasting its largest location yet and promising an exciting culinary adventure. While the friendly staff and delectable food lived up to expectations, a couple of aspects of the dining experience could be improved.

One unexpected turn was the service style. We ordered two meals, anticipating individual plates. However, the dishes arrived combined on a single platter. While this might be suitable for a more communal dining experience, it wasn't what we had envisioned. Thankfully, the staff promptly addressed this and brought separate plates.

Another point to consider is the table layout. The close proximity between tables can be a bit intrusive.  Squeezing past fellow diners or having to move tables to accommodate others can disrupt the flow of the meal.

Finally, the pricing leans towards the high end. A small portion of mac and cheese, for example, clocks in at a hefty £24. Our plates, featuring salads, came in at £15 each.

While the quality is likely excellent, considering the portion sizes, it's definitely something to keep in mind when budgeting for your visit.

Overall, Ottolenghi at Bicester Village offers an undeniably delicious menu with friendly service. With a few adjustments to the service style and table layout, it has the potential to be an even more enjoyable dining experience. Just be prepared for a pricier side.

The restaurant also offers a Deli and Bakery.
