An Evening of Exquisite Music and Community Singing in Oakham

Music lovers, rejoice! A captivating recital for piano and organ awaits you on Friday, June 14th, 2024, at 7:30 pm at All Saints Church in Oakham, Rutland.

This special evening features the talents of Anne Bolt, Head of Piano at Oakham School, and David Hill, the esteemed President of the Royal College of Organists. Together, they will present a delightful program sure to enthral audiences of all ages.

The concert program promises:

A captivating performance of music for piano and organ, 

A unique opportunity to hear rarely performed works, including the original version of Franck's Prelude, Fugue and Variation.

An evening filled with variety, knowledge, and pure musical enjoyment.

Following the concert, a Sung Compline service will be held. This beautiful, contemplative service is a wonderful way to end the evening in a peaceful and reflective atmosphere.

Feel the joy of choral music by joining David Hill for a singing workshop on Sunday, June 16th, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Uppingham. This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to learn from a renowned conductor and prepare for the Evensong service that follows.

The culminating event is a grand choral Evensong featuring works by Stanford and Wood, taking place at 4:00 pm at the same church.
