Andrew "Dobby" Chappell, husband, father of four, grandfather of two, died suddenly aged 54 on the 13th April.

He worked for several years formerly at The Whipper Inn (now The George) in Oakham, helping to renovate and refurbish the hotel, and in more recent years, at Ladbrokes, on the High Street in Oakham.

He was a friendly, easy-going, popular man, who was very well known around Oakham town centre.

His sudden death happened in the middle of Grand National day (on of his favourite but busiest day of the year).

Andy, originally from South Yorkshire, was also a qualified joiner and loved spending his time off with his family, going for rides on his motorbike and refurbishing antique/damaged furniture.

He will be missed deeply by his wife Paula, mother Sandra, children Katie, John, Maggie and Aiden, and Grandchildren Pyrrha and Alwyn, along with all his foster children and grandchildren, his wider family and all of his friends.

RIP Dobby.

Many thanks Maggie
