Cold Overton Road is currently closed to all vehicles and pedestrians due to a serious incident outside the Rutland Memorial Hospital.

You cannot drive or walk through the closed section of Cold Overton Road.

Patients requiring access to the Rutland Memorial Hospital can do so on foot by using the Oakham Medical Practice Grounds as an alternative route.

Please avoid the area and take an alternative route. Traffic delays are likely around the closure, follow the directions of emergency services.

I hope the person is not too badly hurt.

A number of cars have been damaged coming down the hill.

A car appears to have hit a parked car and landed on its side on the pavement and garden.

Fire and Rescue Service is currently working to make everything safe.
