Former Leicestershire Police Constable Faces Gross Misconduct Hearing

A Leicestershire police constable who is no longer serving with the force is due to appear before a misconduct hearing on Thursday, August 22nd, at 9:30 am. The hearing is expected to last two days.


The officer, whose identity will be protected throughout the proceedings, faces serious allegations of misconduct, including:


Engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a vulnerable person known to him.

Engaging in inappropriate and sexual behaviour with this person while on duty and at his workplace.

Failing to follow the force's domestic abuse policy by not conducting a risk assessment for the person in question.

Using a work Twitter account to "like" inappropriate or sexualised images of women.

Sending text messages containing offensive and abusive language regarding colleagues and members of the force.
