Gross Misconduct Hearing for Leicestershire Police Inspector
Leicestershire Police has announced that a gross misconduct hearing will be held on Friday, 1 November at force headquarters. The hearing will involve a police inspector accused of breaching the standards of professional behaviour in the areas of:
Authority, respect, and courtesy
Equality and diversity
Discreditable conduct
The specific allegation is that the officer made inappropriate and derogatory comments to a junior colleague on 6 February 2024.
Assistant Chief Constable will chair the hearing. To protect the officer's welfare, they will remain anonymous throughout the proceedings.
Public Attendance:
Members of the public and media are welcome to attend the hearing, provided they present valid identification. However, a reporting restriction is in place for this case.
