The village of Braunston was alive with energy as hundreds of people gathered for the much-anticipated May Fayre. The event proved a resounding success, drawing large crowds who enjoyed a wide array of attractions and activities under pleasant May skies.

From the moment the Fayre opened, the streets were bustling. Visitors eagerly explored numerous craft stalls, discovering unique handmade goods and local products. The air was filled not only with chatter and laughter but also with the tempting aromas of fresh street food, offering delicious options for attendees to savour as they soaked up the atmosphere.

Entertainment was plentiful, adding to the vibrant scene. The lively sounds of a Big Band provided a musical backdrop, encouraging toes to tap and spirits to soar.

A clear highlight for many was the ever-popular duck race, The cheerful competition brought excitement as spectators watched the colourful ducks bob along their course.

For those seeking a quieter moment or a traditional treat, the village hall opened its doors, serving welcome cups of tea and delicious cakes. This provided a perfect spot for attendees to relax, chat, and recharge before heading back into the festivities. The Garden included traditional games such as splat the rat, tombola's and a coconut shy. There was also a fun dog show.
