Rutland County Library Closes Doors Temporarily Due to Electrical and Water Damage.
Rutland County Library in Oakham has closed its physical building for the remainder of the day following an emergency review. The closure comes in response to ongoing electrical problems compounded by residual water damage inside the facility.
To ensure local residents can still access essential reading materials and avoid major inconvenience, library staff have mobilised a temporary Click & Collect service. Library users who currently have reservations ready for collection can still pick up their items directly from the library's front entrance.
Updates regarding the building's reopening schedule and the status of future events will be provided as repair and inspection work progresses. Residents are encouraged to check local council updates before planning an in-person visit over the coming days.
The Library is scheduled to be closed on Bank Holiday Monday.
