Oakham Town Council Proposed New £4,400 Mayoral Chain from Vaughtons
A disgraceful waste of taxpayers money
Our Chairman Cllr Alf Dewis keeps breaking the old town council
chain.
His solution is to purchase a new set of regalia, starting with
the Mayor's chain.
As a town council over the last year we have achieved nothing,
we have put up the precept again.
Next Wednesday we are being asked to consider two things
Replace the Mayoral chain with this design or not and have
the old chain repaired again.
It is such a shame we can't replace the old guard starting
with the Mayor.
