The NHS in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) is proposing to improve healthcare services in Rutland by creating a Minor Illness and Injury Service which would be open 8 hours a day, 7 days a week in Rutland Memorial Hospital.
The new service would be staffed by nurses, advanced nurse practitioners, and other clinicians who would be able to treat non-life-threatening conditions and prescribe medication.
The NHS is inviting people to have their say on the proposals to help them understand what the proposed changes would mean for people and their families. The public consultation will run from Monday 13 January until Sunday 16 March 2025.
