Brandon Lewis MP, A Tory using wise words when speaking about Rutland County Council

Brandon Lewis MP, A Tory using wise words when speaking about Rutland County Council

It is not surprising this Tory holds a different view from the Rutland Mob.

I have in the past told Mr Duncan a Rutland Tory is not a true Tory, they are a different
breed set apart from the national party. Not that I approve of that party either.
Similar comments can often be found on-line suggesting Rutland Tories are not true Tories.

The mob led by quite thick thuggish leadership followed by a mindless flock, who vote
as instructed or rather cowardly stay away from meetings if they disapprove.

(I can use the description thick, because the Tory Standards Committee once ruled it  was just
fine for the Tory leadership to refer to me as a idiot in public and via emails they share using public systems, describing it purely as "political tit for tat"

I was rather pleased to hear the Yarmouth Tory quoted on  BBC East Midland Today, last
night.

His comment is clearly a strong disapproval of the Tory approved expenditure of public money
for private civil action.

Maybe the Home  secretary will speak out about the disgusting waste of tax payers money
used by Rutland Tories Private Police Force, Leicestershire Police this year and last year to
bully and intimidate me into shutting up.

They tried the same tactics on UKIP Cllr Richard Gale, none of the UKIP Cllrs have yet been
prosecuted by the CPS, but I am sure DS McDonald is digging his hole deeper as I type fixing
up a case against them, as the council back down from using local public funds for legal action.

I wonder when it became the police's job to dish out political advice to Councillor and critics
of the council?

Probably when Leicestershire Police gained itself a Tory Police Crime Commissioner.

I did not want to misquote MP Lewis so I wrote to his team and the response is below.

Dear Mr Brookes,

I have spoken to Mr Lewis's ministerial team and they have provided me with the following response.
I hope this helps.

Yours

Paul Wells

Yes, we gave out this quote - “The Derbyshire principle is clear that local authorities cannot bring libel or defamation actions.

Democratic bodies should be open to public criticism, within the law.

Whilst I make no comment on the nature of allegations, I believe it is totally inappropriate for private defamation actions to be funded by council taxpayers’ money, given the clear Derbyshire principle"
