A spectacular floral horseshoe has been created in Oakham Castle to mark the coronation of King Charles III. The horseshoe, is a stunning display of British blooms.

A spectacular floral horseshoe has been created in Oakham Castle to mark the coronation of King Charles III. The horseshoe,  is a stunning display of British blooms.


The horseshoe was created by Andrew Jamieson, a heraldic artist and manuscript illuminator.

The central design of the horseshoe is the Green Man, an ancient figure from British folklore. The Green Man is a symbol of spring and rebirth, and he is often depicted with foliage growing out of his head. The Green Man is a popular motif in British art and culture, and he is a fitting symbol for the new reign of King Charles III.
