Oakham Christmas Lights, Additional Lights Unless Deputy Mayor's Wish for Jinky's Pub Collapse

Last night members of Oakham Town Council agreed to spend some extra money on Christmas
Lights for the town.
Some new lights are subject to buildings being strong enough to support the fixings and will
require some testing. Jinky's pub is one of those buildings. The deputy Mayor highlighted
and hoped the bricks above the pub would fall down.
I have not got a clue as to the cost of this project. despite new regulations that purchase orders
are produced two items of high expenditure were approved at last nights meeting without knowing
the final cost.
Please take note of Cllr Joyce Lucas face when I say I would like to have know the whole
cost. This is the issue with Oakham Town Council they won't accept any form of scrutiny.
I am hoping Cllr Lowe will be able to keep the additional installation costs below a thousand
pounds.
