Earlier this year Leicestershire Police made changes the policing structure covering Rutland
Rutland was merged into the Market Harborough becoming the Area Eastern Counties Neighbourhood policing area.
I am told this has not worked as well as expected.
The LPU commander for Rutland at the time was Inspector Lou Cordiner she drove off
in her funny little Fiat to Leicestershire and became the commander for the Eastern
Counties. Unlike her last two predecessors who ruled Rutland Police she has been promoted
although Just a temporary promotion to Chief Inspector.
Inspector Gavin Drummond has been temporarily appointed the newest Eastern Counties
Commander.
Oakham Town Councillors will be receiving a visit from him next Wednesday.
