Peterborough Cathedral is currently hosting a truly ethereal sight: "Solace," a towering glass sculpture of angel wings designed to be a profound space for reflection and hope. On display until December 1, 2025, this luminous artwork offers a moment of light and contemplation to all who visit the historic site.
Created by renowned artist Layne Rowe, the "Solace" sculpture is a breathtaking feat of glass artistry.
What It Is: The installation features a pair of magnificent 10-foot angel wings.
The Craftsmanship: The scale is matched by the incredible detail; each wing is composed of over 100 individually hot-sculpted glass feathers.
