RUTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY DIVERSION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) BRAUNSTON ROAD AND OAKHAM ROAD PARISHES OF OAKHAM AND BRAUNSTON ORDER 2016
Rutland County Council District Council (‘the Council’) has powers under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) to make traffic regulation orders affecting the adopted highway within the County of Rutland.
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council now proposes to make an order entitled the Rutland County Council District Council (Temporary Diversion of Vehicular Traffic) Braunston Road and Oakham Road Parishes of Oakham and Braunston Order 2016 as the Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
The effect of the order will be that during the dates and times specified below all vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Braunston Road, Oakham from its junction with Balmoral Road and Oakham Road Braunston from its junction with Church Street.
The Order will come into force when the appropriate signs are erected, on or about 15 March 2016 and will have a maximum duration of 18 Months. Notwithstanding the above, work is expected to commence on 15th March 2016 last for approximately 3 days.
The closure will be continuously enforced during the period specified.
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
The alternative route during the closure will be via the following streets Balmoral Road, Welland Way, Trent Road, Brooke Road Oakham Brooke Road Braunston and Church Street Braunston, with a reciprocal route.
