Mrs Helen Briggs, Chief Executive of Rutland County Council, restricted post, she should resign be arrested and imprisoned

Mrs Helen Briggs, Chief Executive of Rutland County Council, restricted post, she should resign be arrested and imprisoned

Mr Briggs is employed in a Political restricted post the penalty for breaching the terms of the act that covers
restricted posts such as hers is prison.

At my court hearing DS McDonald a Sergeant with Leicestershire Police gave evidence, he was referred to page six of his statement where he wrote.

A further example of Martin Brookes behaviour intended to cause harassment alarm and  distress relates to his personal criticism and deformation of Helen Briggs the Chief Executive for Rutland County Council ........
............articles on his web blog intended to undermine public confidence and trust I her as an individual, her standing within Rutland County Council, the Oakham and Rutland community and the Conservative Party as a politician.

DS McDonald confirmed under oath his statement was a true record of what Briggs had told him, Mrs Briggs was incriminated twice throughout the proceedings, I believe this one is the most serious.

Mrs Briggs wrote to the Rutland Times supporting Rutland Conservative Actions, Rutland Tory Leader Roger Begy said at the time it was unusual for a Chief Executive to write to a paper in this way, maybe that is because it might be illegal?

Politically restricted post holders are debarred from the following activities:

• standing for candidature for public elected office, including a principal
authority, the House of Commons, the European Parliament and the
National Assembly for Wales
• holding office in a political party
• canvassing at elections
• speaking or writing publicly with the intention of affecting public support
for a political party

Who does Mrs Briggs think she is?

I wrote to Rutland County Councillors to point out I had been banned from attending their meetings by Leicestershire Police, there is no justification for this ban.

I can only assume Mrs Briggs asked for the ban at a meeting she may have had with
Inspector Mistry?

It is really time Mrs Briggs kept her nose out of local politics and just did her job.
