Cllr Joyce Lucas Oakham Town Council asks question not very well at Rutland County Council New Street Names
Councillor Lucas has hearing problems and neither Rutland County Council or Oakham Town
Council have proper equipment to assist people with hearing problems, Oakham Town Council are considering fitting hearing loop. I can only guess the frustration suffered by people like Councillor
Lucas. Cllr Pocock needs to be sent on some sort of course I found his response to Mrs Lucas
when she did not hear him the first rather aggressive. Perhaps he was paying her back for constantly
referring to him as Cllr Poocock?
Cllr Joyce Lucas Oakham Town Council asks question not very well at Rutland County Council, her question submitted contained mistakes and the Chairman told her to stick to the script. Cllr Pocock responded. From what i can make out, there is an issue about some new street names and Rutland County Councils policy of not naming new streets after living people which had become a little bit of a common practice a few years ago. Some of the name Cllr Lucas put forward are still living people.
I think she was attempting ask the council if they would review their policy?
