Brooks Newmark, Conservative MP for Braintree, has stepped down as Minister after sending explicit photographs of himself to women over the internet.

Resigned after be caught sending explicit photographs of himself to women over the internet.

Sources told The Telegraph that Mr Newmark had sent the pictures to women
who posed as users of a social networking website as part of a tabloid newspaper
sting operation.

His resignation comes ahead of a story due to be published in tomorrow's Sunday Mirror concerning his private life.

The Minister for Civil Society is a position within the Cabinet Office in the government of the United Kingdom.

The post was held by Brooks Newmark and concerns charities, volunteering, social enterprise and the 'Big Society' agenda of the Coalition government.
