A leading member of a Rutland hunt has died after falling from her horse during the first outing of the season.
Cottesmore joint-master Gems McCormick, who lived in Thorpe Satchville, near Melton, suffered a severe head injury after falling from her horse while jumping over a fence in the Cambridgeshire countryside on Wednesday.
She was taken to hospital by air ambulance but did not survive.
