Could you be a Rutland County Councillor?

Could you be a Councillor?

Today I was told Rutland Conservatives are desperate to find people to stand for them at
next years local elections.

I was told Tory Leader Roger Begy is retiring, that could be wishful thinking.

I was also told Conservative David Hollis will not be standing for re-election. It is said
he has become totally disillusioned by the conduct and activities of the Rutland Conservative
Group.

I am also told Rutland County Council is working with the undemocratic East Midlands Councils to seek Conservative Candidates.

One of Rutland County Councillors UKIP group has told me they are considering standing as
an independent.

A Liberal Democrat Candidate was discussing tactics with UKIP members, putting it simply know one cares which party or independent wins the goal is to destroy the rotten Tory rule of Rutland next
May.

I personally will support anyone who is going to stand against a 'Rotten Borough' Tory.

The Rotten Borough has such a poor public reputation it appears all parties and independents
are currently finding it difficult to get anyone to stand next May.

If a new majority is achieved I hope they will remove the main problem the Tory CEO Helen Briggs and her team from the paid side of the council. I am told staff would be thrilled if this could be achieved. Staff understand a need for efficiency, but this should never been and can not be achieved through fear.
