Oakham Town Council, Council Tax Rise of 1.4% 2015 - 2016
Oakham Town Council last night rather clumsily agreed its flexed budget.
Most Councillors appeared to be confused including the Mayor.
Cllr Adam Lowe rescued things and Cllr John Nowell showed his
appreciation by calling him a Jammy Little Bastard.
The Council has raised the precept for no apparent reason apart
from they might need some more money in the future.
That apparent no good reason was highlighted when of the
members suggested to the Mayor your could even round it
up and make it an increase of 1.5%
Last year the council originally voted for an increase but for
some strange reason it was returned to council and no increase
was set.
I wonder if the same will happen this year?
