Why can Rutland’s largest ever housing development be allowed to provide only c15% affordable houses when the local requirement is 35%?
(2) Does question one set a precedent and a possible legal battle when other developers who too want to provide less than the 35%?
(3) If we now have a 15 to 20 year supply of house building permissions with overall affordable homes being well below the 35%, how will we achieve the Council’s No.1 priority of providing much needed affordable homes?
(4) What consultation was there with the public regarding this significant reduction in affordable houses when initially it was published that the developer was providing 35%?
(5) Is the Section 106 agreement between the developer, the Rutland County Council and the Rutland Agricultural Society a public document that can be examined by the public?
(6) What evidence was provided to Rutland County Council that only 15% affordable houses could be financially viable for the development?
