Funhouse Comedy Club brings another great night of laughter to the Grainstore Brewery, Oakham on Thursday March 24th.Topping the bill is producer, director, writer and comic Bennett Arron. The only Jewish/Welsh comedian on the circuit he has supported Ricky Gervais on tour. Also a trained actor he takes command of the stage and his humour veers between obsessed anxiety and natural occurrences, with his contagious laugh he lights up any room. Opening the night will be the intelligent, controversially witty, hip and silly Markus Birdman.

The turn of the Twentieth Century saw the beginning of a most fruitful period in English Choral writing. Composers including Hubert Parry, Edward Bairstow and Edward Elgar composed grand anthems for state occasions such as Coronations, Royal Weddings and Funerals. Many were orchestrated and performed on an even larger scale in subsequent concerts. Our concert programme contains some of the finest examples of the genre, such as Parry's epic Hear My Words, Bairstow's noble Blessed City and Naylor's dramatic Vox Dicentis.
