Petty Cash Oakham Town Council 31st January 2014
Cllr Lowe sold second hand gazeboo wieghts to Oakham Town Council as new.
I noticed looking at the companies website that Oakham Town Councils
figure of £20 did not match, it appeared they had failed to pay postage and
packaging.
I asked Cllr Lowe why this had happened, the former Leicestershire Police
Special Constable admitted he had sold the council secondhand goods and forgot
to pass on the P+P cost. He added "please keep it quiet"
I have mentioned this in the past and it still appears Oakham Town Councillor
can do as they please with public money and be slightly dishonest along the
way, if the Tory mayor can ask for this small indescretion to be covered up
I wonder how many much larger wrong doing goes on at Oakham Town
Council?
Little things like this should not be ignored as a lot of little things can become
one big thing.
I am sure we would all like to sell our second hand goods for the price we
originally purchased them for?
