Yesterday Dr Sarah Furness from Whissendine was appointed the High Sheriff of Rutland as Andrew Brown's term of office came to an end.

The Warning Zone, in Leicester raising awareness for young people about many dangers
they face, now including the internet and social media.

Also the High Sheriff is to help 15 year olds in Rutland to learn CPR, to help push up survival rates of heart attacks, she will do this by enlisting the help of two Leicester cardiologists.

Barbie Coulson for her work with Rutland Citizens advice.

PC Joe Lloyd of Leicestershire Police for community policing and social media engagement
Jonathan Shanks who does prisoner negotiation and de-esculation skills at HMP Stocken,
John Dwyer and Stephen Flowers 2 stocken prison officers, gymnasium staff who were quick to respond to disorder
