day you might like to avoid the packed first off peak Cross Country Train which departs
Oakham at about 10.20am.
At 9.50am East Midland run a train to Derby which stops at Oakham and Melton
and the good news is East Midlands Trains consider this an off peak train.
Most of the time it runs empty and arrives at Melton station much faster than
the Cross Country Train.
