Launde Abbey, Dioceses of Leicester and Peterborough, East Norton, Leicester, Photographs
Today the spring sun, made the visit for the snow drop walk very special. The walk was followed by a delicious cream tea £3.50
Last year I wrote about my displeasure that church of England was begging for £2 million for restoration of a building that was not open to the public.
I wrote to the Abbey and my letter was leaked to local people by a member of staff who displays photographs of himself naked on a dating site, (thats the same one me and the window cleaner belong to, but we prefer to keep our clothes on) and buys Viagra from a local window cleaner, well that's all behind us now its good to see the Abbey raised its £2 million and is now more accessible to the public.
Can anyone name these tiny blue flowers?
During the walk we bumped into a tradition image of Jesus Christ
Lilly
Glass House
The first daffodils of spring.
The smallest chapel I have ever seen.
Plenty of snow drops to be seen.
Large Modern Jesus Christ.
The Scones were delicious.
During our tea the Reverend Audrey came over to apologise to us because we could not visit the inside of the old part of the Abbey because some Christian people were enjoying a retreat.
She said we could come back in May to see all on the following open day.

Laude Abbey, East Norton, Leicestershire
Image via Wikipedia
Laude Abbey, East Norton, LeicestershireOwned and left to fall into a state of decay by the Church of England this grand building, can be found in the heart of some of Leicestershires Countryside.
The Abbey offer christian retreat although lately it has dropped this description from its advertising and is offering family holidays.
There are a lot of restrictions regarding public access, some have been relaxed since its appeal
for money from the public.
Even if you can not gain access, the location is worth seeing.
They ask you check website before visiting
