Election called for Oakham South East
Following the publication of Notices of Vacancies in Oakham South East, Oakham North East and Oakham North West an election has been called in Oakham South East.
This will take place on Thursday August 15th 2013.
The official notice of the election will be published on July 1st 2013. Those wishing to stand for election will be able to collect a candidates pack from Rutland County Council from this date. Completed packs will then need to be returned to Rutland County Council by noon on Friday July 19th 2013.
As no election has been called in Oakham North East or Oakham North West, Oakham Town Council will be given permission to co-opt 2 new members (1 for each ward) on to the Council.
There will be a drop in session in the Gallery at the Victoria Hall, 39, High Street, Oakham on Saturday 6th July 2013 from 9.00am - 1.00pm for anyone interested in becoming a member of Oakham Town Council.
