Ex Conservative Melton borough councillor Norman Slater Electronical Tagged after admitting stealing £3,205
Mr Slater was kicked out the Tory Party last month, he then said he would stand again
in at the May election. A few days later he resigned due to ill health.
At Leicester Crown Court today Judge Phillip Head sentenced Mr Slater he was given an eight-month prison term, suspended for two years, and a three-month curfew order (4pm-4am) during which time he will be electronically tagged.
