Cottesmore Hunt annual New Years Day meet Uppingham, MacMillan Cancer, For Rutland In Rutland

Cottesmore Hunt annual New Years Day meet Uppingham

Thursday January 1st, 11.00am.

all welcome, collection for the local charity 'For Rutland In Rutland'

THEY COLLECTED £1,100  AT OAKHAM BOXING DAY

The charity was set up after local fund raisers fell out with Macmillan Cancer,

The local fundraisers have over many years raised vast sums of money for Macmillan.

Since the disbandment of the Rutland Macmillan group of fundraisers earlier this
year, they set up a new charity For Rutland In Rutland.

June 2014 saw the official launch the charity stage all the same fundraising activities
and mimicking Macmillan colours.

I am sure many people think they are donating to Macmillan as they drop their cash into
similar green collection boxes held by the familiar people wearing similar green sashes,
(although when the charity was formed the sashes were more gold)

I wonder if the collection boxes belong to Macmillan?

A search for the charity using the Charity Commission website shows the charity appears to be unregistered.

I think Rutland County Council is the only council in the country that does not require
street collectors to register with them.

Rutland County Council of course would not check this so called charity because it
is run by one of their biggest Tory Donors a former High Sheriff and another former
High Sheriff.

One of the main fundraisers who helped organise the annual fashion show and sale is connected to company which was subject to a bankruptcy notice being displayed on a false address in Church Street Oakham this summer. All the directors DYNAMO SRL LIMITED are subject to a active - proposal to be struck off.

It is not the first time these people have left their creditors penniless, their past business
activities are the subject of online posts from small business that have fallen foul of their
business practices. Strangely the don't seem to personally suffer and as their children enjoyed a
good education at Oakham School, all paid for by I guess those poor creditors.

So personally when I see this charity collecting in Oakham I avoid them.

All though I did buy some cake in the summer supporting Oakham Mayor's
Charity of the year, I wonder if before Oakham Town Council writes the Cheque
they will ask for the registered charity number for their accounts? I doubt it.

They only reason I can see this charity exists is so they can continue to
employ a friend at the CAB who was previously paid for by Macmillan.

The service is now doubled up because Macmillan who do a fine job, now provide the
same service from a mobile bus.

For Rutland In Rutland is depriving Macmillan from obtaining much needed funds
funds running into tens of thousands pounds, funds which the charity has relied upon
for many years to support people throughout Rutland.

For Rutland In Rutland do not provide the nurses helping people through treatment.

Once For Rutland in Rutland  have paid their advisor at the CAB they should write
a cheque and send the balance to MacMillan.
