George Phillips Plaque Oakham Town Council Parks and Planning Meeting 28th January 2015
Rutland Telecom should be paying for this they damaged the plaque on Buttercross house
so why should the taxpayers pay.
When they moved into the listed building no Buttercross House their builders ripped it down
and put it in a skip with other listed things. Fortunately when told the conservation at Rutland
County Council acted quickly and made Rutland Telecom put them back.
The George Phillips Plaque was put back using nails and looks rather battered!
The former Buttercross owner said on BBC East Midlands Inside Out they might replace it.
That never happened.
