Part of the Gravity Fields Festival
A special screening of the feature film Gravity for the Gravity Fields Festival.
Gravity is a heart-pounding thriller that is both quite literally breathtaking and beautiful.
Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last mission before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone, tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.
The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to earth and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen they have left. The only way to go home may be to go further into the terrifying expanse of space.
The film is a relentless edge of your seat thrill ride that, although is set against the backdrop of the vast expanse of space, leaves you feeling breathless and claustrophobic.
