The Community is saddened to have received news of the death of Rutland County Councillor, Hannah Edwards.

The Community is saddened to have received news of the death of Cllr Hannah Edwards.

It's with a heavy heart to share the sad news of Hannah's passing. It was a shock to learn of her loss, and I know that many in our community will feel the same.

Hannah was a beloved member of our community, known for her kindness, intelligence, and dedication to public service. She served as a valued councillor, making significant contributions to our town.
We shall all miss our chats in the street or online via social media.

Her passion for education was evident in her role as a popular physics teacher at Oakham School.

Hannah will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Please join me in offering our deepest condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.

Cllr Edwards was a bright and enthusiastic person who was passionate about representing her constituents in Oakham and the wider Rutland community. She carried out her responsibilities as a councillor with great care and consideration, as well as bringing balance and good humour to discussions at Council.
