Our current Neighbourhood Priority is –

1 - Targeting hare coursing along the A47 corridor from Uppingham to Tixover & parts of the north beat area from Langham towards the A1. Last month, members of the public reported to police numerous reports of hare coursing. Several people and vehicles have been identified as taking part in this illegal activity.

I would encourage you all to be vigilant and report any persons you suspect as acting suspicious. Take note of any vehicle and registration number they are in and ring the police on 101.

By all means, let your beat officer know and your Neighbourhood watch coordinators, but ring 101 in the first instance, so the information can be reported and acted upon straightaway.

Remember to visit the Rural Watch website, via the below link for rural crime updates and a whole host of crime prevention advice.

As you are aware, I am due to retire on 6th April. My replacement will be Pc 2113 Pete ICKE. Pete has been the Uppingham beat officer for the past few years, so knows Rutland well and I am sure you will find him friendly and approachable.

PCSO 6516 Diana FREEMAN will still be on the beat and contactable.

To contact either, please email them on the below email addresses.

I will have been your beat officer on the Rutland South beat for the past 8 years now and have really enjoyed my service here. I have met some wonderful people and had a great time.
Thank you for all your support and friendship.

Regards
