How Does The Lost Oakham Chicken Cross The Road and Not Get Eaten?

Chicken found wandering along Oakham High Street this morning
it was rescued just moments before the Cottesmore Hounds passed
by, I am not sure if the hounds enjoy a little KFC on boxing day.
