Brooke Road in Oakham to Close for 3 Months for Housing Development, It's important to be aware of additional upcoming closures before the long-term Brooke Road closure begins. There will be closures at the railway level crossing over the next few weekends.

Brooke Road in Oakham to Close for 3 Months for Housing Development

Residents of Oakham be advised! A section of Brooke Road will be closed for three months starting next week, July 22nd, to facilitate the construction of a new housing development by Burmor Construction.

The closure will affect the stretch of Brooke Road between Derwent Drive and Cricket Lawns and will remain in effect until October 11th. This closure is necessary to allow for the safe construction of a new entrance to the Brooke Road allotment site and to widen the main road itself for improved traffic flow.

While the road is closed, residents who live within the affected area will still have access to their homes by vehicle and foot. However, for those who lose access to their usual parking bays during construction, Burmor Construction is offering free use of alternative parking locations within the town's car parks. To obtain a permit for this alternative parking, residents should contact Burmor Construction at info@burmor.co.uk or by phone at 01778 342606.

Traffic Diversion:

During the closure, drivers will be diverted along Welland Way, Balmoral Road, Braunston Road, and High Street.

Important Note:

It's important to be aware of additional upcoming closures before the long-term Brooke Road closure begins. There will be closures at the railway level crossing over the next few weekends.

Plan your trips accordingly and allow extra time for travel during this construction period.
