Jean a good lady but I think easily influenced by those who don't want change at Oakham Town Council.
After nominations Jean had indicated 'due to her husbands ill health she did not want to be
re-elected to council and would not be canvasing' according to Paul Buxton.

The Chairman and Deputy Mayor of Oakham Adam Lowe and Dave Romney and helpers in a desperate bid to scupper the election of those including me who want change at Oakham Town Council.
A lot of the members are elected un-apposed and realise they need a majority to keep the town council ticking over in the same old costly manner.
Cllr Sally Anne Wadsworth said Dave Romney would be mortified if he is not selected as Mayor after election. I wonder why is this because unlike Adam Lowe and his some of his predecessors he
will let all the members run the council as they should. Or does he want to continue doing wrong like Adam Lowe by thinking he only runs the council.
At the last meeting of this council Adam Lowe abused his position as chairman to political attack me
and what he sees as 'my tory friends' what a bullying this man is, it is such a shame he is unchallenged at the ballot box for both county and town.
Jean Deyner did not attend the last meeting, her overall attendance record is very poor. If she succeeds with her re-election campaign I hope her attendance greatly improves. I voted for her co-option and have found this disappointing.
