No Glory in War, David Cameron and Michael Gove. Robin Beste, Ian Chamberlain, Jeremy Corbyn MP, Matthew Crampton, Katie Davies, Neil Faulkner, Lindsey German, Duncan Heining, Tansy Hoskins, Kate Hudson, Rob Montgomery, Chris Nineham, Jan Woolf

Our campaign aims to challenge those, like David Cameron and Michael Gove, who seek to celebrate World War One. Can you help us?
No Glory in War has achieved a lot in six months, but we need your help to do more:
  • Over 11,000 people have signed our Open Letter – including many public figures - and hundreds more join us each week.
  • Our website has become a crucial resource for those challenging government plans to sanitise World War One.
  • Our campaign appears frequently in the national media. BBC Newsnight presenter Jeremy Paxman quoted No Glory when publicly criticising David Cameron's plans for the First World War commemoration.
  • Our pamphlet by historian Neil Faulkner No Glory - The Real History of the First World War quickly sold out its first print run. It remains very popular.
  • Our official launch at St James Church in Piccadilly in October was beautiful and poignant.
  • We’ve made contact with peace activists in Britain, North America, Europe and Australia.
Our success so far has been significant. But we need to build on this over the next few months, if we are to combat the distortions of the government’s £55 million ‘national celebration’.

Until now we have relied on the support of Stop the War and CND – which has been valuable and much appreciated. Both organisations will continue to support No Glory but they have other demands on their resources. No Glory has reached a point where it can and should stand on its own.

We now have office space and a part-time co-ordinator. We have bold plans for 2014. And we need your help.

Please consider sending us a donation so we can continue what we’ve started. You can help us:

  • Balance and re-shape the public debate, ensuring that those who want to re-brand the war as a "just and noble cause" are answered.
  • Organise cultural events – concerts, poetry readings, discussions – to extend the debate.
  • Maintain our website at the centre of discussion and information.
  • Keep contact with other groups and activists worldwide.
Just a few pounds would help us very much. £25 would be fantastic.
  • Donate online now (recommended)
  • Phone a donation: 020 7561 7484 or 020 7561 4830 and ask to contribute to No Glory (office hours)
  • Send a cheque payable to No Glory in War to 86 Durham Road, London N7 7DT, UK
Thank you for your support. To keep in touch with No Glory activities and events see our website,Facebook and Twitter.
