“Uppingham Jazz and Soul Band
The next Langham Concert will be the exciting music of the popular Uppingham Jazz and Soul Band featuring ‘Great Vocalists, a Rock ‘n’ Roll Rhythm Section and A Big Brass Sound.’ This will be the second visit to us and is on Saturday 1st October in Langham Parish Church. The band, conducted by Tony Gray, is based at Uppingham Community College and has members ranging in age from 13 to 70+ who play with great skill,energy and enthusiasm to give an evening of sheer enjoyment.
The concert starts at 7.30pm but there will be a bar from 7.00pm and in the interval when substantial refreshments will be served. Tickets are £10 from 01572 723533 or 757435 or, from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/370053 with all proceeds to the church.
This event is one of a series of concerts in the church of choral and instrumental music which have included Elizabethan melodies, jazz, opera, cello, show tunes and light hearted miscellanies.
