The Leicester Mercury say: For more than 40 years it has dominated Leicester's historic market place - a bit grubby, a bit damp, very smelly and not much liked by most shoppers and traders.

Fresh fish, Cheese tends to smell and each time I had visited it seemed a popular place selling a huge range
of products. Architecturally it is ugly reminds me of a multi story car park. probably like the one
Rutland County Council, Oakham Town Partnership and Oakham Town Council would like to see
built here in Oakham.

The market wall showed images of Leicester's Market History all not shown in their site I hope the
photographer took photographs to archive back their rather architecturally pleasing office block.
