Leicestershire Police New Oakham Office Officially Opened Today
The official opening of the new police office in Oakham
happened today. The building is not open to the public.
The enquiry desk is currently based in Rutland County Councils
reception. Leicestershire Police are currently seeking a more
private area at the council offices after concerns have been
raised about privacy.
The opening was carried out by The High Sheriff of Rutland
Mr Brown.
The Police and Crime Commissioner Sir Clive Loader was
present with the Chief Constable Simon Cole. Other senior
officers attended.
Less important dignitaries included the Mayor of Oakham
Cllr Alf Dewis and the Chief Executive of Rutland County
Council Helen Briggs.
